Jacqui and Geoff play clever songs about life, love and snakes, alternating between delicately tugging at your heart-strings and ripping them out with ditties about stalkers, drinking and ageing Casanovas. Creating a style that meanders between folk, nu-folk and
indie-pop, they met when they were both starting out as solo artists in Cambridge and Ely and decided to join forces. They’ve since established themselves as a regular feature in and around the cities.
Their debut EP of wry folk-pop with delicious vocal harmonies was released in December 2009, following which they recruited a rhythm section to beef up their sound and continue their gentle rise to world domination through acoustic pop. The band’s first full-length album T-shirts with arrogant slogans was released in Spring 2012, mixing a
range of acoustic and electric styles.
